Deputy Commissioner Vehari Khalid Javed Goraya has directed the relevant departments to complete the Rail Bazaar beautification project by June 30 in all circumstances, while ensuring both quality and pace in the development work.
Chairing a meeting regarding the beautification of Rail Bazaar, the deputy commissioner said that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, improving the city’s beauty and civic facilities is the top priority of the district administration. He said the beautification of Rail Bazaar is an important part of this initiative, which will provide citizens with a better and more attractive environment.
Khalid Javed Goraya said the beautification of Rail Bazaar would cost Rs150 million. Under the project, a modern and beautiful fountain will be constructed, colorful tuff tiles will be installed and uniform paintwork will also be carried out across the bazaar.
He said the timely completion of the project would provide citizens with a clean, pleasant and beautiful environment, while also significantly improving the overall appearance of the bazaar.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and DD Development Muhammad Afzal, Chief Officer District Council and Municipal Committee Vehari Sajid Mahmood, and District Officer I&S Faheem Shehzad were also present at the meeting.

A meeting regarding ongoing development projects was held in Vehari under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya.
During the meeting, officials briefed the Deputy Commissioner on 305 development schemes worth Rs39.87 billion, including projects being carried out under the “Sarkain Bahal, Punjab Khushhal” programme.
Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya directed the departments concerned to ensure timely completion of all development work. He said special focus was being given to development projects in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
He further instructed officials to accelerate the pace of work, adding that any negligence or delay in development projects would not be tolerated. The Deputy Commissioner also ordered that safety walls be constructed around development sites to prevent any accident.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance Muhammad Afzal, CEO Education Nasir Aziz, XEN Highway Umair Latif, MD WASA Asim Abbas Raza, Assistant Director Colleges Dilawar Hussain, SDO Building Hadia Ali, DSO Muhammad Asim and other officers were also present on the occasion.

An important meeting regarding building fitness certificates for public and private schools was held in Vehari under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya. The meeting reviewed the safety standards of educational institution buildings and the implementation of government SOPs.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed Goraya directed all public and private schools to ensure the acquisition of building fitness certificates.
He said the survey of school buildings should be completed at the earliest, adding that legal action would be taken against those operating schools without valid fitness certificates.
The Deputy Commissioner said public and private educational institutions must strictly comply with government SOPs. He made it clear that children should not be taught in unsafe or dilapidated buildings, while such structures should be sealed immediately to prevent any untoward incident.
Khalid Javed Goraya said the protection of students and teachers is the top priority of the district administration. He added that all necessary measures would be completed on a priority basis to maintain parents’ confidence and ensure a safe future for children through a secure educational environment.
