Toba Tek Singh: [Rana Awais ReNews Pakistan] Under the development program of the Chief Minister Punjab, work on an important project to conserve rainwater is progressing rapidly in Toba Tek Singh district. In this regard, a modern underground water storage tank is being constructed at Bilal Park to ensure effective drainage and storage of rainwater. According to the district administration, instructions have been issued to complete the project within the stipulated time, while construction work is being regularly monitored. The Deputy Commissioner stated that upon completion, the project will help address the issue of water accumulation in lowlying areas. Furthermore, recharge wells will contribute to improving the groundwater level. The administration added that the project will provide better drainage facilities to citizens and also contribute to overall environmental improvement.
