The Lahore Development Authority has sealed 211 properties in different parts of the city during a large scale operation against illegal commercial activities, non payment of commercial fees and unauthorized commercial use of residential buildings.
On the directions of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, the LDA Town Planning Wing carried out operations in Gulberg, Model Town, Wapda Town, Gulshan Ravi, China Scheme, NMT Scheme, Mustafa Town and Azam Garden. During the operation, buildings being used illegally for commercial purposes and properties defaulting on commercial fees were sealed.
According to LDA officials, 49 properties were sealed in Gulshan Ravi, China Scheme and NMT Scheme over illegal commercial use and non payment of commercial fees. Similarly, 28 properties were sealed during action in Gulberg and Model Town Extension.
During the recovery operation, 24 properties were sealed in Mustafa Town and Azam Garden, while LDA teams took action in Wapda Town and sealed 75 illegal commercial shops and 35 other commercial properties.
The sealed properties include private schools, restaurants, food points, beauty salons, clinics, grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacies, auto workshops, shops, offices and other business centres. Officials said the owners of these properties had been issued multiple notices over violations of rules and regulations, illegal commercial use or non payment of dues.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Chief Town Planner One Asad uz Zaman and Chief Town Planner Two Azhar Ali. LDA teams, along with officials and staff from the relevant departments, conducted actions at different locations and sealed the properties in accordance with the law.
DG LDA Tahir Farooq has directed that indiscriminate action against illegal commercial buildings, unauthorized commercial activities and commercial fee defaulters should continue across LDA controlled areas. He said violations of building and commercial regulations in the city would not be tolerated and operations would continue to ensure enforcement of the law.

لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی نے غیر قانونی کمرشل سرگرمیوں، کمرشل فیسوں کی عدم ادائیگی اور رہائشی عمارتوں کے غیر مجاز کمرشل استعمال کے خلاف بڑے پیمانے پر کارروائیاں کرتے ہوئے شہر کے مختلف علاقوں میں 211 املاک سربمہر کر دیں۔
ڈی جی ایل ڈی اے طاہر فاروق کی ہدایت پر ایل ڈی اے ٹاؤن پلاننگ ونگ نے گلبرگ، ماڈل ٹاؤن، واپڈا ٹاؤن، گلشن راوی، چائنہ سکیم، این ایم ٹی سکیم، مصطفیٰ ٹاؤن اور اعظم گارڈن سمیت متعدد علاقوں میں آپریشن کیا۔ کارروائیوں کے دوران غیر قانونی طور پر کمرشل استعمال میں لائی جانے والی عمارتوں اور کمرشل فیس نادہندہ املاک کو سیل کیا گیا۔
ایل ڈی اے حکام کے مطابق گلشن راوی، چائنہ سکیم اور این ایم ٹی سکیم میں غیر قانونی کمرشل استعمال اور کمرشل فیسوں کی عدم ادائیگی پر 49 املاک سربمہر کی گئیں۔ اسی طرح گلبرگ اور ماڈل ٹاؤن ایکسٹینشن میں کارروائی کرتے ہوئے 28 املاک کو سیل کیا گیا۔
ریکوری آپریشن کے دوران مصطفیٰ ٹاؤن اور اعظم گارڈن میں 24 املاک سربمہر کی گئیں، جبکہ واپڈا ٹاؤن میں ایل ڈی اے ٹیموں نے کارروائی کرتے ہوئے 75 غیر قانونی کمرشل دکانوں اور 35 دیگر کمرشل املاک کو سیل کر دیا۔
سیل کی گئی املاک میں نجی سکول، ریسٹورنٹس، فوڈ پوائنٹس، بیوٹی سیلون، کلینکس، گراسری سٹورز، بیکری، فارمیسی، آٹو ورکشاپس، دکانیں، دفاتر اور دیگر کاروباری مراکز شامل ہیں۔ حکام کے مطابق ان املاک کے مالکان کو قواعد و ضوابط کی خلاف ورزی، غیر قانونی کمرشل استعمال یا واجبات کی عدم ادائیگی پر متعدد مرتبہ نوٹسز جاری کیے گئے تھے۔
آپریشن چیف ٹاؤن پلانر ون اسد الزمان اور چیف ٹاؤن پلانر ٹو اظہر علی کی زیر نگرانی کیا گیا۔ ایل ڈی اے ٹیموں نے متعلقہ شعبوں کے افسران اور عملے کے ہمراہ مختلف مقامات پر کارروائیاں کیں اور قانون کے مطابق املاک کو سربمہر کیا۔
ڈی جی ایل ڈی اے طاہر فاروق نے ہدایت کی ہے کہ ایل ڈی اے کنٹرولڈ ایریاز میں غیر قانونی کمرشل عمارتوں، غیر مجاز کمرشل سرگرمیوں اور کمرشل فیس نادہندگان کے خلاف کارروائیاں بلاامتیاز جاری رکھی جائیں۔
ان کا کہنا ہے کہ شہر میں تعمیراتی و کمرشل قوانین کی خلاف ورزی برداشت نہیں کی جائے گی اور قانون کی عملداری یقینی بنانے کے لیے آپریشنز کا سلسلہ جاری رہے گا۔
