LDA Seals 191 Properties in Major Operation Against Illegal Commercial Buildings

The Lahore Development Authority has intensified its operations against illegal commercial buildings and commercial fee defaulters, sealing 191 properties during a large scale operation in different parts of the city.
According to the LDA, the actions were carried out by the Town Planning Wing on the directions of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq. The operation was conducted in Gulberg, New Garden Town, Samsani Road Johar Town, Canal Road, Gulshan Ravi, New Muslim Town, Allama Iqbal Town and Sabzazar, as well as other LDA controlled areas.
Officials said 28 properties were sealed in Gulberg and New Garden Town over illegal commercial use and non payment of commercial fees, while action was taken against 85 properties on Samsani Road in Johar Town. Similarly, 43 properties were sealed on Canal Road, in Gulshan Ravi and New Muslim Town.
LDA teams also sealed 35 properties during a recovery operation in Allama Iqbal Town and Sabzazar. In total, 191 properties were sealed during the operation.
The sealed properties included private schools, colleges, academies, restaurants, food points, beauty salons, clinics, grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacies, auto workshops, shops, offices and other commercial establishments.
The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner One Asaduz Zaman and Chief Town Planner Two Azhar Ali. LDA officials said indiscriminate action against illegal commercial buildings and commercial fee defaulters would continue.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq said illegal commercial activities, violations of building laws and non payment of dues would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He said all relevant wings had been mobilised to ensure implementation of LDA regulations.

ایل ڈی اے کے مطابق یہ کارروائیاں ڈی جی ایل ڈی اے طاہر فاروق کی ہدایات پر ٹاؤن پلاننگ ونگ کی جانب سے کی گئیں۔ آپریشن گلبرگ، نیو گارڈن ٹاؤن، سمسانی روڈ جوہر ٹاؤن، کینال روڈ، گلشن راوی، نیو مسلم
ٹاؤن، علامہ اقبال ٹاؤن اور سبزہ زار سمیت ایل ڈی اے کے زیر کنٹرول مختلف علاقوں میں کیا گیا۔
حکام کے مطابق غیر قانونی کمرشل استعمال اور کمرشل فیس کی عدم ادائیگی پر گلبرگ اور نیو گارڈن ٹاؤن میں 28 املاک سربمہر کی گئیں، جبکہ سمسانی روڈ جوہر ٹاؤن میں 85 املاک کے خلاف کارروائی عمل میں لائی گئی۔ اسی طرح کینال روڈ، گلشن راوی اور نیو مسلم ٹاؤن میں 43 املاک سیل کی گئیں۔
ایل ڈی اے ٹیموں نے ریکوری آپریشن کے دوران علامہ اقبال ٹاؤن اور سبزہ زار میں بھی کارروائی کرتے ہوئے 35 املاک سربمہر کر دیں۔ مجموعی طور پر آپریشن کے دوران 191 املاک کو سیل کیا گیا۔
سیل کی گئی املاک میں نجی سکول، کالج، اکیڈمیز، ریستوران، فوڈ پوائنٹس، بیوٹی سیلون، کلینکس، گراسری سٹورز، بیکریاں، فارمیسیز، آٹو ورکشاپس، دکانیں، دفاتر اور دیگر کاروباری مراکز شامل ہیں۔
یہ آپریشن چیف ٹاؤن پلانر ون اسد الزمان اور چیف ٹاؤن پلانر ٹو اظہر علی کی نگرانی میں کیا گیا۔ ایل ڈی اے حکام کا کہنا ہے کہ غیر قانونی کمرشل عمارتوں اور کمرشل فیس نادہندگان کے خلاف بلا امتیاز کارروائیاں جاری رہیں گی۔
ڈی جی ایل ڈی اے طاہر فاروق نے کہا ہے کہ شہر میں غیر قانونی کمرشل سرگرمیوں، بلڈنگ قوانین کی خلاف ورزی اور واجبات کی عدم ادائیگی کو کسی صورت برداشت نہیں کیا جائے گا۔ ان کے مطابق ایل ڈی اے قوانین پر عملدرآمد یقینی بنانے کے لیے تمام متعلقہ ونگز کو متحرک کر دیا گیا ہے۔
