The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has reclaimed around 50 kanal of encroached land at Quaid i Azam University in Islamabad during a major anti encroachment operation, clearing property that had been designated for the National Center for Physics.
The operation was jointly carried out by the CDA's Enforcement and Environment Wings as part of the authority's continuing campaign to recover public land from illegal occupation and restore it to its approved use.
According to details, CDA teams removed seven illegal structures from the site during the operation. The clearance enabled the authority to recover approximately 50 kanal of land that had remained under encroachment despite being earmarked for the National Center for Physics.
Heavy machinery was deployed to demolish and remove the illegal structures and clear the affected area. Representatives of the district administration were also present during the operation to support the enforcement action.
A substantial police contingent was deployed at the site as a precautionary measure and to maintain law and order during the clearance drive. The security arrangements were intended to ensure that CDA teams could carry out the operation without disruption or any serious untoward incident.
The operation also resulted in an obstruction case after resistance was reportedly encountered during the enforcement action. The matter was referred to the Secretariat Police Station for further legal proceedings.
The recovery of the land is significant because the property was not merely general public land but had already been allocated for a specific institutional purpose. Its clearance is expected to allow the designated area to be used in accordance with the approved plan for the National Center for Physics.

کیپیٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (سی ڈی اے) نے اسلام آباد کی قائداعظم یونیورسٹی میں ایک بڑی انسداد تجاوزات کارروائی کے دوران تقریباً 50 کنال اراضی غیر قانونی قبضے سے واگزار کرا لی۔ یہ اراضی نیشنل سینٹر فار فزکس کیلئے مختص کی گئی تھی۔
کارروائی سی ڈی اے کے انفورسمنٹ اور انوائرمنٹ ونگز نے مشترکہ طور پر کی۔ حکام کے مطابق یہ آپریشن وفاقی دارالحکومت میں سرکاری اراضی سے تجاوزات ختم کرنے اور زمین کو اس کے مقررہ استعمال کیلئے بحال کرنے کی جاری مہم کا حصہ ہے۔

قائداعظم یونیورسٹی میں کی جانے والی تازہ کارروائی بھی وفاقی دارالحکومت میں جاری وسیع تر انسداد تجاوزات مہم کا حصہ ہے۔ ایسی کارروائیوں کا مقصد سرکاری زمین واپس حاصل کرنا، غیر قانونی تعمیرات ختم کرنا اور تجاوزات کو مستقل شکل اختیار کرنے سے روکنا ہے۔
سی ڈی اے نے واضح کیا ہے کہ اسلام آباد کے مختلف علاقوں میں غیر قانونی تجاوزات کے خلاف کارروائیاں جاری رہیں گی۔ اتھارٹی کے مطابق سرکاری اراضی پر قائم غیر مجاز تعمیرات اور دیگر رکاوٹیں ختم کی جائیں گی اور واگزار کرائی گئی زمین کو اس کے اصل اور منظور شدہ مقصد کیلئے بحال کیا جائے گا۔
یہ کارروائی اس بات کی بھی نشاندہی کرتی ہے کہ سی ڈی اے اہم سرکاری اور ادارہ جاتی اراضی پر قائم تجاوزات کے خلاف سخت کارروائی کر رہا ہے، خصوصاً ان مقامات پر جہاں غیر قانونی قبضے تعلیمی، سائنسی، شہری یا ترقیاتی منصوبوں میں رکاوٹ بن سکتے ہیں۔
50 کنال اراضی کلیئر ہونے کے بعد اب توجہ اس زمین کو دوبارہ تجاوزات سے محفوظ رکھنے اور اسے نیشنل سینٹر فار فزکس کے مقررہ استعمال کیلئے برقرار رکھنے پر مرکوز رہے گی۔
