DG LDA Visits Railway Station and Misri Shah, Directs Acceleration of Work on Urban Regeneration Projects

Director General of the Lahore Development Authority, Tahir Farooq, visited the Railway Station and Misri Shah areas, where he conducted a detailed review of ongoing development and beautification works under the Urban Regeneration Project.
During the visit, the DG LDA inspected the ongoing work at the Railway Station parking area and directed the relevant authorities to complete the development work there at the earliest. He also reviewed the seating areas, greenery, and civic facilities being developed in the parking area.
Tahir Farooq also inspected the beautification of the railway wall and the ongoing beautification work beneath the flyover. On this occasion, he directed that all beautification-related works be completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining quality standards, so that citizens can be provided with a better, more organized, and visually improved urban environment.
The DG LDA also visited Misri Shah, where he reviewed the ongoing urban regeneration works on Kacha Rahim Road, Aziz Road, and surrounding areas. LDA Chief Engineer Israr Saeed and the Project Director briefed the DG LDA on the progress, design, construction of footpaths, façade upgrades, and other development matters.
During the briefing, it was stated that development works around Misri Shah are also being carried out on the pattern of the Railway Station project. These works include façade upgrades of properties, improvement of footpaths, civic facilities along roads, and the overall beautification of the area.
DG LDA Tahir Farooq said various works are being carried out around Misri Shah under the Urban Regeneration initiative. He said the objective is to improve older urban areas in line with modern requirements, create convenience for pedestrians, and give Lahore’s important locations a more organized and attractive appearance.
He directed the relevant officers and contractors to ensure quality, pace, and durability in all development works. He said improvement of civic facilities in busy areas such as the Railway Station and Misri Shah would not only ease traffic and pedestrian movement but also enhance the overall beauty of the city.
Contractors, LDA officials, and NESPAK officers were also present on the occasion.

لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل طاہر فاروق نے ریلوے اسٹیشن اور مصری شاہ کے علاقوں کا دورہ کیا، جہاں انہوں نے اربن ری جنریشن منصوبے کے تحت جاری ترقیاتی اور بیوٹیفکیشن کاموں کا تفصیلی جائزہ لیا۔
دورے کے دوران ڈی جی ایل ڈی اے نے ریلوے اسٹیشن کے پارکنگ ایریا میں جاری کاموں کا معائنہ کیا اور متعلقہ حکام کو ہدایت کی کہ پارکنگ ایریا پر جاری ترقیاتی کام جلد از جلد مکمل کیے جائیں۔ انہوں نے پارکنگ ایریا میں سیٹنگ ایریاز، گرینری اور شہری سہولیات سے متعلق کاموں کا بھی جائزہ لیا۔
طاہر فاروق نے ریلوے وال کی بیوٹیفکیشن اور فلائی اوور کے نیچے جاری خوبصورتی کے کاموں کا بھی معائنہ کیا۔ اس موقع پر انہوں نے ہدایت کی کہ بیوٹیفکیشن سے متعلق تمام کام معیار کو برقرار رکھتے ہوئے مقررہ مدت میں مکمل کیے جائیں تاکہ شہریوں کو بہتر، منظم اور خوبصورت شہری ماحول فراہم کیا جا سکے۔
ڈی جی ایل ڈی اے نے مصری شاہ کا بھی دورہ کیا، جہاں انہوں نے کچا رحیم روڈ، عزیز روڈ اور اطراف کے علاقوں میں جاری اربن ری جنریشن کاموں کا جائزہ لیا۔ چیف انجینئر ایل ڈی اے اسرار سعید اور پراجیکٹ ڈائریکٹر نے ڈی جی ایل ڈی اے کو منصوبوں کی پیش رفت، ڈیزائن، فٹ پاتھ کی تعمیر، فساڈ اپ گریڈیشن اور دیگر ترقیاتی امور پر بریفنگ دی۔
بریفنگ میں بتایا گیا کہ مصری شاہ کے اطراف بھی ریلوے اسٹیشن کی طرز پر ترقیاتی کام جاری ہیں، جن کے تحت املاک کے فساڈ کی اپ گریڈیشن، فٹ پاتھ کی بہتری، سڑکوں کے اطراف شہری سہولیات اور علاقے کی مجموعی خوبصورتی پر کام کیا جا رہا ہے۔
ڈی جی ایل ڈی اے طاہر فاروق نے کہا کہ مصری شاہ کے اطراف اربن ری جنریشن کے تحت مختلف نوعیت کے کام کیے جا رہے ہیں، جن کا مقصد پرانے شہری علاقوں کو جدید تقاضوں کے مطابق بہتر بنانا، پیدل چلنے والوں کے لیے سہولت پیدا کرنا اور لاہور کے اہم مقامات کو زیادہ منظم اور خوبصورت شکل دینا ہے۔
انہوں نے متعلقہ افسران اور کنٹریکٹرز کو ہدایت کی کہ تمام ترقیاتی کاموں میں معیار، رفتار اور پائیداری کو یقینی بنایا جائے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ ریلوے اسٹیشن اور مصری شاہ جیسے مصروف علاقوں میں شہری
سہولیات کی بہتری نہ صرف ٹریفک اور پیدل آمد و رفت کو آسان بنائے گی بلکہ شہر کے مجموعی حسن میں بھی اضافہ کرے گی۔
اس موقع پر کنٹریکٹر، ایل ڈی اے اور نیسپاک کے افسران بھی موجود تھے۔
