The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue and Estate Department has operationalised the E Registry system for property transactions across the province, aimed at making the registration process faster, more transparent and secure for citizens.

According to the department, the E Registry system was launched on August 18, 2026, with standard operating procedures issued for its implementation at Sub Registrar Offices.

The digital system is expected to facilitate landowners, buyers and sellers by reducing paperwork, speeding up the registration process and limiting the need for repeated visits to government offices.

The department said the system would also strengthen the security of registered property documents, protect ownership rights and help reduce risks related to fraud, forgery, record manipulation and duplication.

The E Registry system has been rolled out in Peshawar, Bannu, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, Abbottabad, Swat, Mardan, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Nowshera and Charsadda.

The department advised buyers to continue conducting due diligence before purchasing property, including checking its legal status, ownership title, land records and any pending litigation or restrictions.

The initiative is part of the Revenue and Estate Department's wider digitisation programme, which includes digital land records, digitised Fard services and moves towards electronic payments and e stamping.
